The 'Bob Durland' Official of the Year Award
2024 Recipient: Joshua Burkart (Boise, ID)
The Bob Durland Official of the Year award, presented by the Idaho Lacrosse Officials Association, honors officials who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and performance in the sport. Named in recognition of current ILOA Head Official Bob Durland, based on his outstanding decades of contributions to the profession of officiating lacrosse and his commitment to the communities and leagues ILOA serves, this award will be presented annually from this year forward. It recognizes officials who exemplify integrity and professionalism both on and off the field. Recipients not only showcase exemplary officiating skills during games but may also actively contribute to the lacrosse community including through mentorship, education, and other avenues. This award highlights the critical role these individuals play in advancing lacrosse officiating in the state and beyond.
Road Warrior Award
2024 Recipient: Mike Donnelly (Idaho Falls, ID)
The Idaho Lacrosse Officials Association is proud to present the Road Warrior Award, which honors an official whose extraordinary commitment to the sport truly stands out. This award specifically recognizes the individual who has traveled some of the greatest distances and/or officiated some of the highest amount of games during the season, playing a crucial role in promoting lacrosse across ILOA's service area. We applaud their relentless efforts and passion for nurturing a vibrant lacrosse community with the areas we serve.
Sportsmanship Award
2024 Recipients: Vallivue Falcons (SWILA - Caldwell, ID) and TBA (IHSLL – TBA, ID)
The Idaho Lacrosse Officials Association is proud to recognize one high school team from both the Idaho High School Lacrosse League (IHSLL) and South West Idaho Lacrosse Association (SWILA) that best exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship and respect for the game of lacrosse. This award honors teams that consistently demonstrate integrity, respect for opponents and officials, and a commitment to upholding the spirit of the game. By promoting a culture of respect and sportsmanship, these teams exemplify the core values that strengthen and unite the lacrosse community across our region.
